I’m a Seattle-based writer working on a series of speculative fiction novels with climate change themes under the title Carbon Run.
I’ve published several non-fiction books, including The Fyddeye Guide to America’s Maritime History, The Fyddeye Guide to America’s Lighthouses, Shipbuilders, Sea Captains, and Fishermen: The Story of the Schooner Wawona, Blowing Out the Stink: Life on a Lumber and Cod Schooner, 1897-1947, and three books on streaming media. I’m also published regularly in magazines, including Seattle magazine, Seattle Business, and the in-flight magazines of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Airlines.
I’ve also written a historical novel for young adults, Bet: Stowaway Daughter. These days, I’m focusing more on genre fiction, particularly science fiction and epic fantasy.
I live with my wife and family, which includes a chicken.
